My song is love unknown
from our Evening Service on 3rd June 2018

My song is love unknown,
my Saviour’s love for me;
love to the loveless shown that they might lovely be:
but who am I, that for my sake
my Lord should take frail flesh and die?

He came from heaven’s throne
salvation to bestow;
but they refused, and none the longed-for Christ would know:
this is my friend, my friend indeed,
who at my need His life did spend.

With cries of rage they have
my dear Lord done away;
a murderer they save, the Prince of life they slay!
Yet steadfast He to suffering goes,
that these His foes may be set free.

In life, no house, no home
my Lord on earth might have;
in death, no friendly tomb but what a stranger gave.
What may I say? Heaven was His home,
but mine the tomb wherein He lay.

Here might I stay and sing
of Him my soul adores;
never was love, dear King, never was grief like Yours!
This is my friend, in whose sweet praise
I all my days could gladly spend.

There is a fountain filled with blood
from our Evening Service on 3rd June 2018

There is a fountain filled with blood
drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
and sinners, plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains …
lose all their guilty stains …
lose all their guilty stains …
and sinners, plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see
that fountain in his day;
and there have I, though vile as he,
washed all my sins away …
and there have I, though vile as he,
washed all my sins away.

O Lamb of God, Your precious blood
shall never lose its power,
till all the ransomed Church of God
be saved, to sin no more …
till all the ransomed Church of God
be saved, to sin no more.

And since by faith, I saw the stream
Your flowing wounds supply,
redeeming love has been my theme,
and shall be till I die …
redeeming love has been my theme,
and shall be till I die.

When this poor lisping stammering tongue
lies silent in the grave.
Then in a nobler sweeter song
I’ll sing Your power to save …
Then in a nobler sweeter song
I’ll sing Your power to save.

Jesus is King and I will extol Him

Jesus is King and I will extol Him,
give Him the glory and honour His name.
He reigns on high, enthroned in the heavens,
Word of the Father, exalted for us.

We have a hope that is steadfast and certain,
gone through the curtain and touching the throne,
we have a Priest who is there interceding,
pouring His grace on our lives day by day.

We come to Him, our Priest and Apostle,
clothed in His glory and bearing His name,
laying our lives with gladness before Him;
filled with His Spirit we worship the King.

O holy One, our hearts do adore You;
thrilled with Your goodness we give You our praise.
Angels in light with worship surround Him,
Jesus, our Saviour, for ever the same.

When peace like a river
from our Evening Service on 9th June 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

When peace, like a river, attends all my way,
when sorrows like sea-billows roll,
whatever my path, You have taught me to say,
‘It is well, it is well with my soul.’

‘It is well … it is well,
with my soul … with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.’

Though Satan may buffet, though trials may come,
let this calm assurance control:
that Christ knows my need and my helplessness here
and has shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well … with my soul …

The joy, O the joy of this glorious thought!
my sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to His cross and I bear it no more;
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well … with my soul …

For me it is Christ, it is Christ now to live!
Though death’s waters over me roll,
no fear shall be mine, for in death as in life
You will whisper Your peace to my soul.

It is well … with my soul …

But, Lord, for Your coming in glory we wait;
the sky, not the grave, is our goal;
the trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend:
bless the Lord, bless the Lord, O my soul!

It is well … with my soul …

And can it be that I should gain – from our Morning Service on 4th August 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

And can it be that I should gain
an interest in the Saviour’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be
that You, my God, should die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be
that You, my God, should die for me?

He left His Father’s throne above –
so free, so infinite His grace –
humbled Himself in all His love
and bled for Adam’s helpless race.
What mercy this, immense and free,
for, O my God, it found out me!
What mercy this, immense and free,
for, O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay
fast bound in sin and nature’s night:
then shone Your glorious gospel ray;
I woke! The dungeon flamed with light!
My chains fell off; my heart was new,
I rose, went forth and followed You!
My chains fell off; my heart was new,
I rose, went forth and followed You!
No condemnation now I dread!

Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living head,
and clothed in righteousness divine,
bold I approach the eternal throne
and claim the crown,
through Christ my own;
bold I approach the eternal throne
and claim the crown,
through Christ my own.

I heard the voice of Jesus say – from our Morning Service on 21st May 2017

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and rest;
lay down, thou weary one, lay down thy head upon My breast.”
I came to Jesus as I was, weary, and worn, and sad,
I found in Him a resting-place, and He has made me glad.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give
the living water – thirsty one, stoop down, and drink, and live.”
I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life-giving stream,
my thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in Him.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s light!
Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy day be bright.”
I looked to Jesus, and I found in Him my Star, my Sun;
and in that light of life I’ll walk till travelling days are done.

O church, arise – from our Morning Service on 23rd April 2017

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

O church, arise, and put your armour on;
hear the call of Christ our Captain.
For now the weak can say that they are strong
in the strength that God has given.
With shield of faith and belt of truth,
we’ll stand against the devil’s lies;
an army bold, whose battle-cry is Love,
reaching out to those in darkness.

Our call to war, to love the captive soul
but to rage against the captor;
and with the sword that makes the wounded whole,
we will fight with faith and valour.
When faced with trials on every side
we know the outcome is secure,
and Christ will have the prize for which He died,
an inheritance of nations.

Come see the cross where love and mercy meet,
as the Son of God is stricken;
then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet,
for the Conqueror has risen!
And as the stone is rolled away,
and Christ emerges from the grave,
this victory march continues till the day
every eye and heart shall see Him.

So Spirit, come, put strength in every stride,
give grace for every hurdle,
that we may run with faith to win the prize
of a servant good and faithful.
As saints of old still line the way,
retelling triumphs of His grace,
we hear their calls, and hunger for the day
when with Christ we stand in glory.

Hail, O once rejected Jesus! – from our Morning Service on 23rd April 2017

Hail, O once rejected Jesus!
Hail, O Galilean King!
You have suffered to release us
and Your free salvation bring.
Hail, O agonising Saviour,
bearer of our sin and shame,
by Your merits we find favour,
life is given through Your name.

Spotless Lamb, by God appointed,
all our sins on You were laid;
by almighty love anointed
full atonement You have made.
All Your people are forgiven
through the virtue of Your blood;
opened is the gate of heaven,
man is reconciled with God.

Jesus! Hail, enthroned in glory,
there for ever to abide;
all the heavenly hosts adore You
seated at Your Father’s side.
There for sinners You are pleading
and our place You now prepare;
always for us interceding,
till in glory we appear.

Worship, honour, power and blessing
You are worthy to receive;
loudest praises, without ceasing,
right it is for us to give.
Help us, bright angelic spirits
joined with ours, your voices raise;
help to show our Saviour’s merits,
help to sing Immanuel’s praise.

All my days I will sing this song of gladness – from our Morning Service on 23rd September 2018

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

All my days I will sing this song of gladness,
give my praise to the Fountain of delights;
for in my helplessness You heard my cry,
and waves of mercy poured down on my life.

I will trust in the cross of my Redeemer,
I will sing of the blood that never fails,
of sins forgiven, of conscience cleansed,
of death defeated and life without end.

Beautiful Saviour, Wonderful Counsellor,
clothed in majesty, Lord of history,
You’re the Way, the Truth, the Life.
Star of the Morning, glorious in holiness,
You’re the Risen One, heaven’s Champion,
and You reign, You reign over all!

I long to be where the praise is never-ending,
yearn to dwell where the glory never fades,
where countless worshippers
will share one song,
and cries of ‘Worthy’ will honour the Lamb!

Beautiful Saviour, Wonderful …

The LORD is king! Lift up your voice – from our Morning Service on 24th April 2016

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

The LORD is king! Lift up your voice,
O earth, and all you heavens, rejoice;
from world to world the song shall ring:
‘The Lord omnipotent is King!’

The Lord is King! Who then shall dare
resist His will, distrust His care
or quarrel with His wise decrees,
or doubt His royal promises?

The Lord is King! Child of the dust,
the Judge of all the earth is just;
holy and true are all His ways –
let every creature speak His praise!

He reigns! You saints, His praises sing:
your Father reigns, your God is King;
and Christ is seated at His side,
the Man of love, the Crucified.

One Lord, one kingdom, all secures:
He reigns, and life and death are yours;
through earth and heaven one song shall ring:
‘The Lord omnipotent is King!’

With harps and with viols – from our Evening Service on 3rd December 2017

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

With harps and with viols there stands a great throng
in the presence of Jesus, and sings this new song:

‘Unto Him who has loved us
and washed us from sin
unto Him be the glory for ever. Amen!’

And those once were sinners, defiled in His sight,
now arrayed in pure garments, in praise they unite:

‘Unto Him who has loved us …

He maketh the rebel a priest and a king;
He has bought us, and taught us this new song to sing:

‘Unto Him who has loved us …

How helpless and hopeless we sinners had been
if He never had loved us till freed from our sin!

‘Unto Him who has loved us …

Aloud in His praises our voices shall ring;
so that others believing, this new song shall sing:

‘Unto Him who has loved us …

See, amid the winter’s snow,
born for us on earth below,
see, the Lamb of God appears,
promised from eternal years.

Hail, O ever-blessed morn!
Hail, redemption’s happy dawn!
Sing through all Jerusalem:
‘Christ is born in Bethlehem.’

Lowly in a manger lies
He who built the starry skies,
He who, throned in height sublime,
Reigns above the cherubim.

Hail, O ever-blessed morn! …

Say, ye holy shepherds, say,
what your joyful news today;
wherefore have ye left your sheep
on the lonely mountain steep?

Hail, O ever-blessed morn! …

‘As we watched at dead of night,
all around us shone a light:
angels, singing peace on earth!
told us of a Saviour’s birth.’

Hail, O ever-blessed morn! …

Sacred Infant, all divine,
what a tender love was Thine,
thus to come from highest bliss
down to such a world as this!

Hail, O ever-blessed morn! …

Angels from the realms of glory,
wing your flight o’er all the earth;
heralds of creation’s story
now proclaim Messiah’s birth!

Come and worship
Christ, the new-born King!
Come and worship,
worship Christ, the new-born King!

Shepherds in the fields abiding,
watching o’er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing:
yonder shines the infant light!

Come and worship …

Wise men, leave your contemplations!
Brighter visions gleam afar;
seek in Him the hope of nations,
you have seen His rising star:

Come and worship …

Sinners, brought to true repentance
doomed, for guilt, to endless pains;
justice now revokes the sentence,
mercy calls you: break your chains!

Come and worship …

Though an infant now we view Him,
He will share His Father’s throne,
gather all the nations to Him;
every knee shall then bow down:

Come and worship …

Hark the herald angels sing
“Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled”
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with the angelic host proclaim:
“Christ is born in Bethlehem”

Hark! The herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”
Christ, by highest heaven adored
Christ, the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come,
offspring of a Virgin’s womb!
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
hail, the Incarnate Deity!
Pleased as Man with man to dwell,
Jesus, our Emmanuel

Hark! The herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”
Hail, the Heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail, the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
risen with healing in His wings
mild, He lays His glory by,
born that man no more may die,
born to raise the sons of earth,
born to give them second birth.
Hark! The herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”

O little town of Bethlehem – from our Morning Service on 27th December 2015

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see you lie!
Above your deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by:
yet in your dark streets is shining the everlasting Light;
the hopes and fears of all the years are met in you tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary; and, gathered all above,
while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wondering love:
O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth,
and praises sing to God the King, and peace to men on earth.

How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His heaven:
no ear may hear His coming; but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive Him, still the dear Christ enters in.

O holy child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray;
cast out our sin and enter in; be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Immanuel.

I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered,
From the curse to set me free.

Sing, oh, sing of my Redeemer,
With His blood He purchased me,
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt, and made me free.

I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.

Sing, oh, sing of my Redeemer …

I will praise my dear Redeemer,
His triumphant pow’r I’ll tell,
How the victory He giveth
Over sin, and death, and hell.

Sing, oh, sing of my Redeemer …

I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His heav’nly love to me;
He from death to life hath brought me,
Son of God with Him to be.

Sing, oh, sing of my Redeemer …

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear; brothers and sisters, draw near,
praise Him in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord, above all things so mightily reigning;
keeping us safe at His side, and so gently sustaining.
Have you not seen all you have needed has been
met by His gracious ordaining?

Praise to the Lord, who shall prosper our work and defend us;
surely His goodness and mercy shall daily attend us.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
who with His love will befriend us.

Praise to the Lord, who, when darkness and sin are abounding,
who, when the godless are rampant, all goodness confounding,
breaks forth as light, scatters the terrors of night,
saints with His mercy surrounding!

Praise to the Lord – O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that has life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the ‘Amen!’ sound from His people again –
gladly we praise and adore Him!

Jesus the Name high over all – from our evening service on 12th August 2018

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

Jesus, the name high over all
in hell or earth or sky;
angels and men before it fall
and devils fear and fly,
and devils fear and fly.

Jesus, the name to sinners dear,
the name to sinners given;
it scatters all their guilty fear,
it turns their hell to heaven,
it turns their hell to heaven.

Jesus the prisoner’s fetters breaks
and bruises Satan’s head;
power into strengthless souls He speaks
and life into the dead,
and life into the dead.

O that the world might taste and see
the riches of His grace!
The arms of love that welcome me
would all mankind embrace,
would all mankind embrace.

His righteousness alone I show,
His saving truth proclaim;
this is my work on earth below,
to cry, ‘Behold the Lamb!’
to cry, ‘Behold the Lamb!’

Happy if with my final breath
I may but gasp His name,
preach Him to all, and cry in death,
‘Behold, behold the Lamb!’
‘Behold, behold the Lamb!’

Love divine, all loves excelling – from our morning service on 1st December 2019

Love divine, all loves excelling,
joy of heaven, to earth come down:
fix in us Your humble dwelling,
all Your faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, You are all compassion,
boundless love that makes us whole;
visit us with Your salvation,
enter every trembling soul.

Breathe on us Your loving Spirit;
every troubled heart be blessed:
let us all in You inherit,
let us find Your promised rest.
Take away the love of sinning,
Alpha and Omega be;
end of faith, as its beginning,
set our hearts at liberty.

Come, almighty to deliver,
let us all Your grace receive;
suddenly return, and never,
nevermore Your temples leave:
You we would be always blessing,
serve You as Your hosts above,
pray and praise You without ceasing,
glory in Your perfect love.

Finish then Your new creation,
pure and sinless let us be;
let us see Your great salvation
perfect in eternity:
changed from glory into glory
till in heaven we take our place,
till we lay our crowns before You,
lost in wonder, love and praise.

How sweet the name of Jesus sounds – from our evening service on 15th April 2018

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

How sweet the name of Jesus sounds
in a believer’s ear!
It soothes our sorrows, heals our wounds
and drives away our fear.
It makes the wounded spirit whole,
and calms each heart oppressed;
It’s manna to the hungry soul,
and to the weary rest …
and to the weary rest.

Dear name, the rock on which I build,
my shield and hiding-place;
my never-failing treasury, filled
with boundless stores of grace!
By You my prayers acceptance gain,
although with sin defiled;
Satan accuses me in vain
since I am God’s own child …
since I am God’s own child.

Jesus, my shepherd, brother, friend,
my Prophet, Priest and King,
my Lord, my life, my way, my end,
accept the praise I bring.
Weak is the effort of my heart,
and cold my warmest thought;
but when I see You as You are,
I’ll praise You as I ought …
I’ll praise You as I ought.

Till then I would Your love proclaim
with every fleeting breath;
but all my strength is weakness spent
for glories viewed so dim.
Then may the music of Your name
refresh my soul in death,
and when I see You as You are,
I’ll praise You as I ought …
I’ll praise You as I ought.

Guide me, O my great Redeemer,
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but You are mighty,
hold me with Your powerful hand:
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
feed me now and evermore,
feed me now and evermore.

Open now the crystal fountain
where the healing waters flow;
let the fiery, cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through:
strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
ever be my strength and shield,
ever be my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan
bid my anxious fears subside;
death of death, and hell’s destruction,
land me safe on Canaan’s side:
songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever sing to You,
I will ever sing to You.

At Your feet we fall, mighty risen Lord,
as we come before Your throne to worship You!
By Your Spirit’s power You now draw our hearts,
and we hear Your voice in triumph ringing clear.

‘I am He that liveth, that liveth and was dead:
behold, I am alive – for evermore!’

There we see You stand, mighty risen Lord,
clothed in garments pure and holy, shining bright;
eyes of flashing fire, feet like burnished bronze,
and the sound of many waters is Your voice.

‘I am He that liveth …

Like the shining sun in its noonday strength,
we now see the glory of Your wondrous face:
once that face was marred, but now You’re glorified;
and Your words, like a two-edged sword
have mighty power.

‘I am He that liveth …

Here is love vast as the ocean – from our morning service on 18th August 2018

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

Here is love vast as the ocean
loving kindness as the flood,
when the Prince of life, our ransom,
shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember;
who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
throughout heaven’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion
fountains opened deep and wide;
through the floodgates of God’s mercy
flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers
poured incessant from above;
and heaven’s peace and perfect justice
kissed a guilty world in love.

Now in heaven the King of Glory
prays for us with tender care,
all our weakness and temptation
our High Priest can gladly bear.
Then one day – oh, blessed prospect!
He will banish fear and pain,
for the Son of God is coming,
and He’s coming back to reign.

Millions since in earth and heaven
drawing near the eternal throne;
called from every tribe and nation
one exalted Saviour own.
In that crowded congregation
I, astonished, take my place,
cleansed and healed and, by adoption,
made a child of God by grace.

Who His love will not remember;
who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
throughout heaven’s eternal days.

Christ triumphant ever reigning,
Saviour, Master, King,
Lord of heaven, our lives sustaining,
hear us as we sing:
Yours the glory and the crown,
the high renown, the eternal Name.

Word incarnate, truth revealing,
Son of Man on earth!
Power and majesty concealing
by Your humble birth:
Yours the glory and the crown,
the high renown, the eternal Name.

Suffering servant, scorned,
ill-treated, victim crucified!
Death is through the cross defeated,
sinners justified:
Yours the glory and the crown,
the high renown, the eternal Name.

Priestly King, enthroned for ever
high in heaven above!
Sin and death and hell shall never
stifle hymns of love:
Yours the glory and the crown,
the high renown, the eternal Name.

So, our hearts and voices raising
through the ages long,
ceaselessly upon You gazing,
this shall be our song:
‘Yours the glory and the crown,
the high renown, the eternal Name’.

Lord, for the years Your love has kept and guided,
urged and inspired us, cheered us on our way,
sought us and saved us, pardoned and provided,
Lord of the years, we bring our thanks today.

Lord, for that word, the word of life which fires us,
speaks to our hearts and sets our souls ablaze,
teaches and trains, rebukes us and inspires us;
Lord of the word, receive Your people’s praise.

Lord, for our land in this our generation,
spirits oppressed by pleasure, wealth and care;
for young and old, for commonwealth and nation,
Lord of our land, be pleased to hear our prayer.

Lord, for our world, when we disown and doubt Him,
loveless in strength, and comfortless in pain;
hungry and helpless, lost indeed without Him;
Lord of the world, we pray that Christ may reign.

Lord, for ourselves, in living power remake us
self on the cross and Christ upon the throne,
past put behind us, for the future take us,
Lord of our lives, to live for Christ alone.

Majestic name above all other names;
the highest heaven and earth proclaim
that Jesus is our God.

We will glorify, we will lift Him high,
we will give Him honour and praise.
We will glorify, we will lift Him high,
we will give Him honour and praise.

Jesus is the name we worship,
Jesus is the name we trust
He is the King above all other kings;
let all creation stand and sing
that Jesus is our God.

We will glorify, we will lift Him …

Jesus is the Father’s splendour,
Jesus is the Father’s joy.
He will return to reign in Majesty;
and every eye at last shall see
that Jesus is our God.

We will glorify, we will lift Him …

‘Great is Thy faithfulness’, O God my Father,
there is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not;
as Thou hast been, Thou for ever wilt be.

‘Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!’
morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed Thy hand hath provided –
‘Great is Thy faithfulness’,
Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
join with all nature in manifold witness
to Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Great is Thy faithfulness …

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

‘Great is Thy faithfulness …

All creatures of our God and King,
lift up your voice and with us sing
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Bright burning sun with golden beam,
soft shining moon with silver gleam,
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia

Swift rushing wind so wild and strong,
white clouds that sail in heaven along,
O praise Him, Alleluia!
New rising dawn in praise rejoice,
you lights of evening find a voice;
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia

Cool flowing water, pure and clear,
make music for your Lord to hear,
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Fierce fire so masterful and bright
giving to us both warmth and light,
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia

Earth ever fertile, day by day
bring forth your blessings on our way,
O praise Him, Alleluia!
All fruit and crops that richly grow,
all trees and flowers God’s glory show;
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia

Let all things their Creator bless
and worship Him in lowliness,
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
and praise the Spirit, Three in One.
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Crown Him with many crowns – from our morning service on 11th November 2018

Crown Him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon His throne,
while heaven’s eternal anthem drowns all music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died to be
your Saviour and your matchless King
through all eternity.

Crown Him the Lord of life,
triumphant from the grave,
who rose victorious from the strife for those He came to save:
His glories now we sing who died and rose on high;
who died eternal life to bring
and lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of love!
Behold His hands and side,
those wounds yet visible above in beauty glorified!
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight,
but downward bends his burning eye
at mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of peace,
let praise fill every land;
from pole to pole let warfare cease: His kingdom is at hand!
For ever He shall reign, and earthly princes fall
before His throne, the Lamb once slain,
the sovereign Lord of all.

Crown Him the Lord of years,
the Potentate of time,
Creator of the rolling spheres, in majesty sublime:
all hail, Redeemer, hail, for You have died for me;
Your praise shall never, never fail
through all eternity!

In Christ Alone – from our evening service on 17th February 2019

In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this corner stone, this solid ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all,
here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone who took on flesh,
fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
scorned by the ones He came to save:
till on the cross as Jesus died,
the wrath of God was satisfied –
for every sin on Him was laid;
here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
then bursting forth in glorious day
up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
for I am His and He is mine –
bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
this is the power of Christ in me;
from life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
can ever pluck me from His hand;
till He returns or calls me home,
here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

You’re the word of God the Father – from our morning service on 13th May 2018

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

You’re the word of God the Father,
from before the world began;
every star and every planet
has been fashioned by Your hand.
All creation holds together
by the power of Your voice:
let the stars declare Your glory,
let the land and seas rejoice!

You’re the author of creation,
You’re the Lord of every man;
and Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Yet You left the gaze of angels,
came to seek and save the lost,
and exchanged the joy of heaven
for the anguish of a cross.
With a prayer You fed the hungry,
with a word You stilled the sea;
yet how silently You suffered
that the guilty may go free.

You’re the author of creation …

With a shout You rose victorious,
wresting victory from the grave,
and ascended into heaven
leading captives in Your wake.
Now You stand before the Father
interceding for Your own.
From each tribe and tongue and nation
You are leading sinners home.

You’re the author of creation …

Tell out my soul – from our evening service on 4th June 2017

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord!
Unnumbered blessings, give my spirit voice;
tender to me the promise of His word;
in God my Saviour shall my heart rejoice.

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His name!
Make known His might, the deeds His arm has done;
His mercy sure, from age to age the same;
His holy name, the Lord, the mighty One.

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His might!
Powers and dominions lay their glory by.
Proud hearts and stubborn wills are put to flight,
the hungry fed, the humble lifted high.

Tell out, my soul, the glories of His word!
Firm is His promise, and His mercy sure.
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord
to children’s children and for evermore!

Come people of the Risen King – from our morning service on 12th May 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

Come people of the Risen King,
who delight to bring Him praise;
come all and tune your hearts to sing
to the Morning Star of grace.
From the shifting shadows of the earth
we will lift our eyes to Him,
where steady arms of mercy reach
to gather children in.

Rejoice, Rejoice!
Let every tongue rejoice!
One heart, one voice;
O Church of Christ, rejoice!

Come, those whose joy is morning sun,
and those weeping through the night;
come, those who tell of battles won,
and those struggling in the fight.
For His perfect love will never change,
and His mercies never cease,
but follow us through all our days
with the certain hope of peace.

Rejoice, Rejoice! …

Come, young and old from every land –
men and women of the faith;
come, those with full or empty hands –
find the riches of His grace.
Over all the world, His people sing –
shore to shore we hear them call
the Truth that cries through every age:
“Our God is all in all”!

Rejoice, Rejoice! …
Rejoice, Rejoice! …

I stand amazed in the presence – from our morning service on 15th September 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

I stand amazed in the presence
of Jesus the Nazarene,
and wonder how He could love me,
a sinner, condemned, unclean.

How marvellous! How wonderful!
This my song shall ever be:
how marvellous! How wonderful
is my Saviour’s love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
and suffered and died alone.

How marvellous! How wonderful …

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
my joy will be through the ages
to sing of His love for me.

How marvellous! How wonderful …

There is a hope that burns within my heart – from our evening service on 19th May 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

There is a hope that burns within my heart,
that gives me strength for every passing day;
a glimpse of glory now revealed in meagre part,
yet drives all doubt away:
I stand in Christ, with sins forgiven;
and Christ in me, the hope of heaven!
My highest calling and my deepest joy,
to make His will my home.

There is a hope that lifts my weary head,
a consolation strong against despair,
that when the world has plunged me in its deepest pit,
I find the Saviour there!
Through present sufferings, future’s fear,
He whispers ‘courage’ in my ear.
For I am safe in everlasting arms,
and they will lead me home.

There is a hope that stands the test of time,
that lifts my eyes beyond the beckoning grave,
to see the matchless beauty of a day divine
when I behold His face!
When sufferings cease and sorrows die,
and every longing satisfied.
Then joy unspeakable will flood my soul,
for I am truly home.

Praise, my soul, the King of heaven – from our evening service on 5th May 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

Praise, my soul, the King of heaven,
to His feet your tribute bring;
ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
who like me His praise should sing?
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise the everlasting King.

Praise Him for His grace and favour
to our fathers in distress;
praise Him, still the same for ever,
slow to anger, swift to bless.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Glorious in His faithfulness.

Father-like, He tends and spares us,
well our human frame He knows;
in His hands He gently bears us,
rescues us from all our foes.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Widely as His mercy flows.

Angels, help us to adore Him;
you behold Him face to face;
sun and moon, bow down before Him,
all who dwell in time and space.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise with us the God of grace.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine – from our morning service on 10th March, 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song …

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song …

Before the throne of God above – from our morning service on 20th October, 2019

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea;
a great High Priest, whose name is Love,
who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is written on His hands,
my name is hidden in His heart;
I know that while in heaven He stands
no power can force me to depart,
no power can force me to depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,
and tells me of the guilt within,
I look to heaven, and see Him there
who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Saviour died,
my sinful soul is counted free;
for God, the Just, is satisfied
to look on Him and pardon me,
to look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there! The risen Lamb!
My perfect, spotless righteousness,
the great unchangeable I AM,
the King of glory and of grace!
One with Himself, I cannot die;
my soul is purchased by His blood:
my life is safe with Christ on high,
with Christ, my Saviour and my God,
with Christ, my Saviour and my God.

O for a thousand tongues to sing – from our evening service on 20th January, 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer’s praise,
my great Redeemer’s praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of His grace
the triumphs of His grace
the triumphs of His grace!

Jesus, the name that calms our fears
and bids our sorrows cease;
and bids our sorrows cease;
this music in the sinner’s ears
is life and health and peace
is life and health and peace
is life and health and peace.

He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean,
His blood availed for me
His blood availed for me
His blood availed for me.

He speaks; and, listening to His voice,
new life the dead receive,
new life the dead receive,
the mournful broken hearts rejoice,
the humble poor believe
the humble poor believe
the humble poor believe.

My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim
assist me to proclaim
and spread through all the earth abroad
the honours of Your name
the honours of Your name
the honours of Your name.

How great Thou art – from our evening service on 30th June, 2019

An alternative link in case the above player doesn’t work for you, click HERE.

O Lord my God!
when I in awesome wonder
consider all the works Thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed;

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
how great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze;

Then sings my soul …

And when I think that God – His Son not sparing –
sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
that on the cross my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul …

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
and take me home – what joy shall fill my heart!
Then shall I bow in humble adoration
and there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

Then sings my soul …

But, Lord, for Your coming in glory we wait;
the sky, not the grave, is our goal;
the trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend:
bless the Lord, bless the Lord, O my soul!
‘It is well … it is well,
with my soul … with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.’

And can it be that I should gain – from our morning service on 4th August, 2019

No condemnation now I dread!
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living head,
and clothed in righteousness divine,
bold I approach the eternal throne
and claim the crown,
through Christ my own;
bold I approach the eternal throne
and claim the crown,
through Christ my own.

Come behold the wondrous mystery
slain by death the God of life
but no grave could e’er restrain Him
praise the Lord He is alive!
What a foretaste of deliverance
how unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
as we will be when He comes.
